Hold Tight 15- podcast

This is the recording of the last show we did from the T room a couple of weeks ago. It got pretty chaotic, with various guests popping by, crates of beer getting drunked, and general high spirits all round. Hold Tight Radio vs Oye Records

Sunday (8pm CET), Hold Tight Radio returns for another edge-of-the-seat thrill ride across the groove galaxy. Joining Davey and Parrot live in the studio will be Tinko and Delfonic, two of the gentlemen responsible for the über-fantastisch Oye Records- our favourite Berlin vinyl purveyor.

“Fresh” from the Jackson party at Crackers on Saturday night, Hold Tight is excited to host a Oye Records special show on Sweat Lodge Radio, welcoming Tinko and Delfonic to the t Room keller. With a loyal following that includes some of Berlin’s most forward thinking selectors, Oye is a treasure trove of vinyl gems that traverse the musical spectrum, from reggae and soul 7s, to, afro jazz, disco, house, dubstep and more. And of course, the boys are ridiculous DJs in their own right- do not miss this show. Plus, this session will serve as a taster for the Oye shindig at KDR on Saturday 5th June - Hold Tight Radio will be bringing some dancefloor-troubling vibes to the store’s regular pappelallee party.. it’s gonna be sweaty...

we need to talk...

so, this blog had basically been inactive for a while due to a change in the format of the Hold Tight Radio Show. We are now only broadcasting live, with the show being repeated later in the week on Sweat Lodge. So, no regular podcasts, essentially - this is because we (contractually) would have to wait two weeks to post the show, making it MASSIVELY outdated and our current affairs jokes even more redundant - plus we kinda like pretending we are on real radio, and that things can still be transitory and unarchived. It's also encourage some interactivity with listeners hopefully tuning in to the live feed and getting all up in our grills about stuff - making it more fun for everyone.

However, if someone does want a particular show for download, let us know, we'll hook you up, g.

The third installment of the Hold Tight Radio show hits the airwaves on Sunday, this time with a special guest joining Davey and Parrot in the studio. Paul Spymania is the co-founder of Berghain's legendary dubstep/techno rinse-out Sub:stance, head honcho of the Surefire booking agency, and not to forget a DJ of extraordinary party-rocking abilities. He'll be bringing his encyclopedic knowledge of great records to the T room basement, joining the Hold Tight hosts in a Sunday night session not to be missed.

BACK IN THE BASEMENT

Parrot and I are pleased to announce something of a rebirth for Hold Tight Radio: Every second Sunday evening (from 8pm CET) we will be broadcasting on Sweat Lodge Radio- Berlin's newest and hottest internet radio portal. Sweat Lodge has been hosting the T Room Sessions for the last few months, a riotous Friday evening post-work house-up with a steady stream of quality big name DJs. Hold Tight will be coming from the same location but with our slightly different spin on things, pinballing through the genres, talking over enthusiastic nonsense, and sinking a shed load of booze in the process. The show will be live from 8pm on the 2nd and 4th Sunday of every month - just follow the Sweat Lodge link to tune in.
